Once your doctor refers you to us, one of our
specialized physicians will review your medical
records and ask you to describe your medical history
with a special emphasis on your pain and how it has
affected you. The physician will also perform a
thorough physical examination to see what other tests
or treatments might be needed to help you.
What happens after I’m examined at the Weiss Center
for Pain Management?
Following your initial examination, the physician will describe
what the Weiss Center can offer to help manage your pain. You will
decide on a plan of treatment together.
There are many forms of treatment to manage pain. Your treatment
may include exercise and activity programs, specialized nerve blocks
or specialized methods of delivering pain medication. The overall
plan of treatment is based on your particular pain, and can be modified
to meet your changing needs with follow-up treatments continuing
until you and your pain management specialist feel you’ve attained
a satisfactory level of pain management.
The types of treatment and services we can offer in the management
