Program
Philosophy
Eating Disorders are serious health problems that affect
all aspects of a person’s life. Eating disorder behavior
such as starvation, binge eating, purging and compulsive
exercising, are examples of self destructive coping skills
which often develop as a means to cope with emotional pain
and suffering. Recovery can occur with specialized professional
treatment in addition to strong, consistent support.
The Eating Disorder Treatment Program:
Treatment for patients affected by eating disorders such
as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder.
Treatment is provided for coexisting psychiatric diagnosis,
as needed.
A comprehensive program designed to treat the physical,
psychological, and nutritional aspects of eating disorders.
A structured schedule of therapies designed to assist individuals
to manage their emotional, social and behavioral symptoms.
A supportive environment created by a staff of caring and
experienced professionals who focus on the reduction of symptoms
through the development and utilization of healthy coping
strategies.
An individualized treatment plan coordinated with the patient’s
primary care physician and other outpatient treatment providers.
Free and anonymous screenings every Wednesday from 1:00
pm - 3:00 pm (please call ahead at 473-3877 ext. 57, and
let us know you’re coming).

Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM |
| Adolescents |
Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM |
A client may be eligible for treatment if he/she:
- Is 12 years of age or older; separate programs
available for adults and adolescents
- Has acute symptoms of an eating
disorder which meets diagnostic criteria
- Is ambulatory and physically able
to participate
- Is medically cleared to participate
by his/her primary care physician

Pick up medical forms at the Eating Disorder Program
and have your medical doctor fax the necessary information
