Thank you for visiting the John T. Mather Memorial Hospital website. Ever since our hospital first opened its doors in 1929, the doctors, nurses, employees, board members and benefactors who make up the Mather Hospital Family, continue to take tremendous personal pride in caring for and serving the healthcare needs of our community. Having been raised in the Port Jefferson community, and after serving as a member of the hospital's board since 1976, I personally take very special pride—and consider it a distinct privilege—to serve you as Mather Hospital's chairman.

Over the years, as our community has evolved and grown from its rural beginnings, Mather Hospital has also grown as a pioneer and leader in healthcare. With a proud track record of healthcare service "firsts," along with our innovative and leading signature services, we at Mather work diligently to remain at the forefront in providing our community with caring high quality healthcare.
